Founded by Care Schmidt, Sterling specializes in hospitality-driven weddings, intentional event design, and concierge-level planning backed by more than 30 years of hospitality and event experience.

I’m a native Arizonan with a "little bit country, little bit rock n’ roll" soul. After fostering my career in NYC and California with Disney/ESPN, I launched Sterling in 2007 to bring high-end, flawless execution to every client.

Over the past two and a half decades of our experience we've worked with everyone from pro athletes and Hollywood elite to teachers and nurses—my passion remains the same: creating events as individual as the people hosting them. When I’m not planning, you’ll find me daydreaming about my next trip, at happy hour, on a yoga mat, or exploring new countries with my husband and son.  We've crossed canyons, climbed the highest mountains and explored timezones and new countries and I couldn't imagine my life without them.​

  • Always up for an Adventure: I've hiked across the Grand Canyon in a single day—sunup to sundown.​​  My very athletic hubby keeps me moving, even on "vacations".

  • Nerd Status: I’ve been to every Disney park in the world (except China!) and even performed in a Disneyland parade once. BTW - It’s harder than it looks! 

  • Cruel Twist of Fate: I love cake and pastries and used to joke that desserts are why I got into events,  but I actually can't eat them due to an allergy.

  • My Happy Place: My Kitchen, making dinner is my favorite part of the day, but celebrating my clients’ biggest milestones is what really fills my cup.

  • You can find me at Happy Hour - There's something about just grazing and chatting the afternoon away...while saving money.​
